ABOUT THE PRACTICE
ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA
What is Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga?

Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional system of yoga that combines breath, movement, and gaze in a set sequence of postures designed to purify the body, discipline the mind, and awaken the spirit. Rooted in devotion and daily commitment, it is a practice that goes far beyond the physical, it becomes a moving meditation, a mirror, and a path toward inner transformation.

Taught in its original form as passed down through the Mysore lineage, Ashtanga encourages the development of a self-practice, where each student moves at their own rhythm, supported by the teacher through one-on-one guidance and hands-on adjustments. This sacred approach allows for deep internalization of the practice, cultivating discipline, humility, and resilience.

More than just a style of yoga, Ashtanga is a lifelong journey, one that invites you to show up consistently, to observe yourself honestly, and to return again and again to the mat with devotion. It is both structure and surrender, strength and softness. A true path of yoga.
